Our aim is to make you feel at home in Ireland. Your accommodation is an extremely important part of your whole experience. The different locations where we accommodate students are all close to public transport, shopping centres, supermarkets and banks. With NED Training Centre you can rest assured that we will provide you with quality accommodation that best suits your needs. We work with Host Families, Hostels and Student Accommodation. Talk to our team to see which one best fits your needs and budget.

When you arrive at Shannon Airport (the closest airport to Limerick City), a pickup service can be arranged if you’d like. This service ensures convenient and safe arrival at your residence, hotel or hostel after landing. You may inform us of your arrival time, flight number, airline and a driver will be waiting for you at the airport to help you with your luggage as well.

Student support

We will provide support to our students before they arrive and during their period of study in Ireland. All information about the course, visa, accommodation, public transport, work permit and how to get the best out of your experience in Limerick will be provided.

To ensure our students are protected should the school close down for any reason; we have established a partnership with O’Driscoll O’Neil through Enrolled Learner Protection. NED Training Centre has approval to offer students this insurance, thus students will receive a certificate to confirm the insurance is in place.

We will give you support in requesting your Health Insurance after your arrival in Ireland and before going to the Immigration Office. These documents take around 10 working days to arrive at NED Training Centre. Remember that Medical insurance is compulsory for visa required students.

NED Training Centre has its own student card which provides discounts for our students in several shops, restaurants, cinema and more. All students can get this card and it will be valid for the period of the student’s stay in Ireland. It is free for students and it will guarantee discounts and special offers in some partners. To get your free card, send an email to limerick@ned.ie with a passport style picture and your full name.

On Wednesday before your first day, you will come to school to do your speaking test, to be assigned to a specific class level, and your Induction day, where our team will inform you of everything about NED Training Centre and the experience you are about to start. Furthermore, at the end of our Induction Day, you are invited to join our Welcome Walking Tour to discover the most important tourist attractions and historical spots of Limerick city, how the visa process works and what are the steps you need to follow.

We think that to set a goal is the best way to motivate and help yourself to reach your objectives. An examination for English certification is a great external motivator to get you studying and working hard during your studies. Here at NED Training Centre we offer exam preparation to help you achieve that important goal. Remember that for NED Training Centre students enrolled on a 25 week course, an end of programme examination is mandatory.
